New running route

Looks like I'll be heading over to Bluford, the town where I graduated high school from, at the end of the week and the weekend. So I decided I need to find a new running route over there, just in case.

I went to mapmyrun.com which is a great tool, to save your routes once you've mapped it all out. Bluford is about 700 people. And very small. I figured out a route in my head already and I thought it was about 3 miles. Boy, was I wrong.

I wanted to map out at least a 5 mile route. It was hard to find that option in this town without retracing my steps or going on the main drag, which also is the road that my mother lives on.

Anyway, check out this map. You'll see that I'm running all over the town itself. The first part, when I head south, that's what I had in my head and thought going down there and then back up I'd be at 3 miles but instead I was barely over 1.5 miles! So back & forth, I went on the map, weaving along & around the streets of Bluford. Let's hope I don't get run over. I don't know what I'm going to do for a long run on Saturday...

It's great that you're running all these new routes. I'd like to run in St. Louis at least once before the marathon. I'll have to check with the local Fleet Feet for training runs. Happy running!

Yea, this Bluford run I thought would be tomorrow or Thursday. But it looks like I'll have to schedule a long run of 12/13 mile in Bluford. That'll be fun.

Tomorrow's run will be either on Grant's Trail or in Queeny Park (some hills). Definitely not around here in Ballwin. I'm sick of these hills!
