Here's the crazy ride I'm doing this weekend. I'm driving over tonight after work, setting up camp at the city park in Preston, IA and heading out tomorrow morning! About 69 miles on Saturday, 45 on Sunday. Should be good weather this year. Last year, it stormed bad on Sunday, didn't even ride! Might get storms on Friday night but that's why I have the tent!

I never did get new running shoes. The clerk called and even Nike didn't have my size (11.5 narrow) in stock for the Moto+ 6. So I'l have to get the 7's. Oh well. I guess my next paycheck will go to those. Hopefully there wasn't that much of a change between the 2 models.

That sounds like a tough ride! But yay for nice weather. I hope you have a blast. I can't wait to read about it!
Hey, this is a silly question, but do they make special shoes for bikers, or do you wear your running shoes?
Not a silly question at all! I used to wear my running shoes. And still will on my mountain bike.
But on my road bike I have what is called "clipless" shoes. The pedals come with a certain attachment to them. A cleat can be attached to your shoes and then you just kinda snap right into the pedals (don't ask me why they're then called clipless shoes - I have yet to understand that!). It takes some getting used to and I constantly have to remember to unclip from them when stopping! I didn't do that a few times and nearly fell to the ground! They help with keeping the speed and pedals going.
